I got this TMo GNote 2, and want to purchase a Sim subsidy unlock code but according to this website if the Android is not 4.1.1 it will not work, Im running T889UVBMB4 Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unlocking Issue! | CellUnlocker.net for Unlock Codes

Does anyone know if this is true? Or should I purchase the code?

Long story short I'm trading my Galaxy Nexus for a T-Mobile SGS3 and I want to know if the phone can be unlocked and function on the att network, data and all. I've seen some discussion about the unlocking process and it involves unlock code websites that seem sketchy.

My current S3 is locked to Rogers, I really don't want to go to a carrier unlocking site like cellunlockerdotnet to unlock my phone.

I received an unlock code from AT&T for my One XL. The unlock code comes up as unsuccessful. I followed the unlock instructions exactly. And I've called back and verified that AT&T has the correct IMEI and double checked the unlock code. I've never had an issue unlocking a phone before.

I contacted HTC.

I had succefully repaired T889 Tmobile baseband with modem flash method.That was damage during root.But now phone is succesfully unlocking with unlock codes but again asking for unlock codes and even after unlock there is message "invalid sim card".

Phone was orignaly at T889UVALL4_T889TMBALL4_TMB (Basebadn Damage).

Working firmware is T889UVALJ1_T889TMBALJ1_TMB

I got my unlock code from ATT but I can not seem to find a way to unlock it, either with the ATT sim in or a TMobile one. Previously using methods here on XDA I was able to unlock the SIM lock; the Subset lock; the SP lock and the Corporate lock. Going into Diagnosis all of those locks are disabled. However, the Network lock is still enabled.

Scoured all the D4 forums for a forum like this but could not find anything. I have come to find that since Motorola was taken over or purchased by Google that the bootloaders of Motorola devices are beginning to get unlock codes to unlock the bootloaders. Has anybody had any success using fastboot on their D4 to get the unlock code from it?
