I've an Xperia mini with CyanogenMod 9.1 and Mesa Hybrid Kernel 4.4.
I've installed Link2SD and Titanium Backup Pro. I want to move some applications to the system memory (rom memory) where are also all the systems apps. The problem is that, when i move an application, cache's space decreases.
My Venture, with its puny /data internal storage, benefits greatly from using link2sd. However, when I reboot, the dalvik cache is full of real files, not symlinks, and link2sd doesn't automatically re-link the files. I'm not sure if it's wiping and re-creating the dalvik cache or just doing something with those files.
The main screen in ClockworkMod Recovery has the option "wipe cache partition". The "advanced" menu has "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Are these distinct options that clear separate areas or does "wipe cache partition" also wipe the Dalvik cache?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere -- point me to the post.
Everything was going so well. I received my perfect phone a couple days ago...unlocked it, installed cwm 126.96.36.199, and rooted it. Kept it stock and only flashed franco and Drummerjed's volume boost. Life was swell.
I decided I wanted to try the Dalvik optimization mod and in preparation booted into recovery to make a nandroid.
I have deodexed the system files for 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. They are in flashable zips if you wish to flash onto your tablet (if you can). Flash the zips, wipe dalvik cache, then boot into Android, delete the odex files, and wipe dalvik cache again (as a precautionary measure).
