My Venture, with its puny /data internal storage, benefits greatly from using link2sd. However, when I reboot, the dalvik cache is full of real files, not symlinks, and link2sd doesn't automatically re-link the files. I'm not sure if it's wiping and re-creating the dalvik cache or just doing something with those files.

The main screen in ClockworkMod Recovery has the option "wipe cache partition". The "advanced" menu has "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Are these distinct options that clear separate areas or does "wipe cache partition" also wipe the Dalvik cache?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere -- point me to the post.

I am trying to build my own custom ROM(JellyBean) and observed that any apk that is placed in the /system/app(adb push somefile.apk /system/app) folder gets a corresponding .dex file in the /cache/dalvik-cache.

Helo ppl .

I unknowingly wiped the dalvik cache on my phone using CWM. I used link2sd with an Ext2 partition and everything was working fine but NOW AFTER THE WIPE dalvik cache . Link2sd shows theMOUNT SCRIPT cannot be created and all apps which wer once linked hav disappeared (including play.store :/ :( ... )

need to get to zvb or zvc even zva. i downloaded stock zvb zip file. wiped data from CWM, wiped cache and wiped dalvik cache. also formeted system, cache and system. then flashed rom however whne ever i turn on phone and go into settings it still says ZVD stuff. how can i fix this and go back to zva,zvb or zvc.
