I used to have ICS ROM and it was working properly. One week ago, I flashed two JB ROMs and met some serious problems. One is CM10 by g60madman, another is AlienDroid|V1.0, I have same issues under these two different ROMS, so I assume the problem is from somewhere else.
The issue:
1. Battery drains very fast.
i flashed miui v4 on defy green lens but experienced battery drain on my phone.so i flashed stock froyo and after that miui gb or cm7 whatever i flash there is battery drain from around 62-63% to 47% and 19% to 4%.
Can somebody help me with this?i tried eveything like battery callibration and battery stats wipe but nothing helped.
Can anyone help me with this problem here?
I have been trying various roms on my Vibrant, but didn't spend a ton of time on the ones before Paranoid Android because they seemed unstable.
Device : GT-i9100 Galaxy S II
Firmware : Wanamlite XWLPT
KErnel : Dram-IRC -2.7.2
Main problem: battery drain, 100% in just 4.5 hours!!
So I downgraded from CM10 to gingerbread....:sly:
And what I see is this massive battery drain....:mad:
Attachment 1404258
I flashed xxkpe then ddlf2 then xda bam kernel.....
But then also the battery drain was at peek...
Plz suggest me what can be done....
hey guys
I just got Galaxy S2 (nordic) and i want to root it. I red several pages with all kind of explanations regarding roms, kernels..ect But i still wanted to be sure so i posted this thread.
I need recommendation for rooting method that will suite best my phone. Also i am not sure if there is any significant benefit from instaling custom roms (other than appearance).
So I've tried ctmod, MIUI, and Quattrimus ICS, all of which are amazing, but for some reason I have really insane battery drain even though I barely use my device. I'm pretty sure its the wifi, but I'm not sure why this doesn't happen on stock? How is it the same exact issue on 3 different roms? Battery drain occurs on clean installation, I just log into my google account.
Within the last week I have been experiencing major battery drain from 'sdcard' for no reason. Here is a screenshot of my phone last night which shows 'sdcard' as the largest battery drain '29%' over a total off charger time of nearly 14 hours. The 'sdcard' details claim that the uptime for the 'sdcard' is only a mere 45 minutes.
Recently, I switched from Oat's Light n' Tasty to CM9 nightlies (currently on 20121202) which I flashed with CWM. I have noticed that the battery drains significantly faster with CM9 when the device is asleep. Looking at better battery stats I found that ath6kl_wow seems to be the culprit, which was reinforced with GSam which reported that 89% of the battery was consumed by wifi.
