[Q] Is it worth it to lose warranty in order to unlock?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – What can we stock users expect from a custom rom like cleanrom? Is it really that much faster? Will the input lag be solved ? Because now my tablet takes a few seconds to catch up with what i wrote. I get a lot freezes where applications hang. Especially the stock browser, every few minutes i get "program is not responding" wait or close Overal the tablet feels laggy and slow and i wonder if cleanrom will fix all these issues or that i have to accept it as it is (HowTos)

I have noticed 3 issues on both MeanROM 2.6 and CleanROM BE ICS:

If I try to view Usage in the Settings app I get "Unfortunately Settings had to close" The stock Gallery app can no longer find my photos (which I have never moved from their default location) but Quick Pics can Nothing seems able to find my local ringtones in either /sdcard/Ringtones/ or /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones/

So, i'd like to return this phone to stock, and fired up ADB per the directions i've received....while the phone was on, the command wouldn't work. I was running cleanrom, but adb returned the "waiting for device" message. So i booted into the bootloader, tried the "fastboot oem lock", and it worked. The device returned the "Relocked" "Tampered" warning.

I'm replacing some system/app files to make my Gadmei E8-HD appear as close to stock as possible and I've found only 4.0.4 stock builds for Galaxy Nexus avaliable. However, because my device is a tablet not a handset, will it still "work"?

If not, does anyone conveniently have ICS 4.0.4 compiled for a tablet and can share with me their SystemUI.apk?

Do China vendors actually keep ANY stock?

I am curious to know (and Dro might know) if the vendors we actually buy from in China have ANY stock to sell from?

Why do I ask?

I send an e-mail to Eachgame asking if they have stock. I order the tablet hours later, impatience. I get an e-mail back two days later from Eachgame saying, YES ...we have that tablet in stock.

Hey All, I have noticed that my boot animation, running CleanRom, has gone to the cleanrom (different) one. At one point I think it was still giving me the stock samsung one. Is this an issue I should worry about fixing, or no?

Hi all.

I was given a Giani MiPal 3 and it is getting on my nerves. The screen takes a while to respond, apps hang and I get the message 'XXXX has stopped responding' wait etc.

I have a Samsung Fit that outperforms this blasted tablet in many ways. Admittedly, it's clockworked and Cyanogen 7 on it, but it is so much morre user friendly than the tab, with a faster CPU, more memory etc....

I decided to give CleanROM a try. Prior to this I had unlocked my bootloader and put CM10 nightlies on my One X. I am planning to modify a Motorola lapdock to use with my One X, but CM10's HDMI out is broken.

The cleanrom instructions just say to use TeamWin (which I have installed), and to wipe + install their zip.

My Gf has bought a Tab 2 7.0 P3100..i have a i9000,so i'm not new in the flashing stuff..but my gf doesn't know anything about this,which is not surprising given the fact that she's a girl :p..the stock rom feels laggy,a lot laggy to her..she saw my GS1 on ICS,it was fast,and she wants something like that in her tab..now if i put a custom rom in her tab,and she runs into some issues, i'm gone, i
