I was trying to discover why my device is showing double or triplicate files in both the music player and the gallery. So I unmounted the sd card and rebooted the device. This resolved the files from the external sd card being referenced multiple times in those apps.
But then I went to look at the internal storage while connected via usb to my pc.
Ok I really can't figure this out and my theory is that the droid maxx has it backwards and uses "internal storage" to mean external storage and "move to phone" as internal storage. Can anyone please explain this to me?? I have ApptoSD and, as an example, one of my apps MUST be kept on internal storage.
Hi, I have a rooted Pantech Pocket, ATT as carrier. When the phone was new, I loaded just a few apps, Titanium back up and SD maid, created an update.zip file on the SD card and the empty internal storage was about 300MB. I use the phone for texting, email viewing, a little browsing, and well, as a phone. No gaming, or streaming audio or video. My internal storage is now around 50MB.
I have a SD card installed in my i9500. As you know, i9500 has 16GB built-in RAM, and I found that /sdcard (also /mnt/sdcard) is mounted to internal storage(seems /storage/sdcard0), external SD card is located in /storage/extSdCard ( /mnt/sdcard mounted to here). But some old apps don't support customizing download destination, and most downloaded files went to the internal storage.
my father was killed in a car accident last week, and my family & i are trying to get pictures off his phone. the phone doesn't boot past the eye logo, but i was able to pull out his SD card & get stuff off that. strangely, it's not every picture he had taken. i imagine some of it is internal?
I want to permanently modify my internal/external storage mount points from default blur (internal = /mnt/sdcard) to be more CM7ish (internal = /mnt/emmc and external = /mnt/sdcard)
What config files do I need to tweak?
It looks like there are some cross-dependencies but I'm unsure to what extent.
This would be handy for when I flash between blur and non-blur roms.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 Single Sim phone.
Its internal memory sucks , just 190 MB.
So you can see what I go through while installing new apps. Its the same disgusting feeling which I get with my 160 GB HDD laptop :D.
So I was wondering whether there is any method to install/move apps to my 8 GB SD card?
Just moved from a 8 GB to a 32GB card. And cannot use it...
First I unmounted the old SD card on the phone, and put in the new, unformatted 32GB. I then choose to format it in the phone. Its a Galaxy S GT-9003i with firmware I9003XXKPN v2.3.5
It formated fine. Then I unmounted the new card, plonked in the old card and connected the phone in USB mode to the Macbook.
Hi,
I have a weird problem with my S2 running samsung stock ICS 4.0.3. i have been using sgs2 for over a year now and whenever my free internal storage goes below 2.5GB i move the apps to SD card. But now No. of apps in SDcard has hit the Android limit so i simply delete the Apps. But off late that is not freeing up my internal memory.
