So I hooked up a brand new android media player, love it.
I thought something was wrong with my 8 gig sd card, cause it only showed a 2 gb sd card.
As it turns out, the internal memory seems to be divided into an internal memory, and a built in sd card memory.
Guys -
I have a Sony Xperia J phone..May be you are aware that since the Internal Memory of the phone is portioned, one will be recognized as phone memory and the other as SD card...
Since this SD card is not really the External SD card, all the media files of WhatsApp will be stored here and consumes internal memory a lot..
This phone actually recognizes the external memory card as &quo
Hi,
I am working in Jellybean 4Aj1.1
The device which I am working doesn't have a external sdcard support so we have internal sdcard of 2GB which is a nand flash partition.
Hiya,
My PE was synchonizing some files from the internal memory /sdcard wirelessly to dropbox when suddently it run out of battery and it turned itself off.
When I turn it back on I received the messages:
* Preparing /sdcard
* /sdcard damaged
I've tried resetting the device but still same problem.
The PE settings display:
* Data storage device => Internal Storage
* Internal
My Garmin GPS device has a slot for an SD card. I'm using a 32 GB SD card which holds 22 GB data currently.
If I attach my device to a USB port it shows two devices, the internal memory and the SD card.
I have a SD card installed in my i9500. As you know, i9500 has 16GB built-in RAM, and I found that /sdcard (also /mnt/sdcard) is mounted to internal storage(seems /storage/sdcard0), external SD card is located in /storage/extSdCard ( /mnt/sdcard mounted to here). But some old apps don't support customizing download destination, and most downloaded files went to the internal storage.
I'm confused here. The naming of type of storage. There is SD and External SD and "device". I assume SD is the internal (16GB) memory and External is the (64GB) Micro SD card I have inserted?
With that in mind, I get confused on file managers that say SD memory because that makes me think Micro SD card. They even show it as as a card icon in OI File Manager!
I am trying to mount sdcard/0, which is my internal sd card. I am using a CM10 rom and realized that /sdcard is now /storage/sdcard0 in jelly bean. I am the only one on the CM10 fourm who can't mount his/hers. When I go to settings-storage-usb storage, I click "mount sd card" and the phone freezes, then it says calculating and it disappears.
(machines A and B both 10.04)
First /dev/sda1 is mounted in /media/big on machine A through fstab
Then it's shared through "Sharing options" which makes it available on machine B: Places > Network > A > Windows Shares > Big
Now I'd rather have it mounted in B on startup.
