Last month ASUS pushed out an update to their ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 to install Jelly Bean. This left owners of the higher-end ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 feeling a bit left out in the cold. XDA forum member MysticMgcn has come to the rescue in the form of instructions on how to use the TF300’s firmware on the TF700.
When the Transformer Prime launched, it was the first tablet to ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and now it’s one of the first devices to receive Jelly Bean along with the Transformer Pad Infinity.
If you are one of the many folks who regularly modify your device with ROM’s and tweaks by unlocking the bootloader, you probably noticed that you did not receive the OTA update.
So, I was messing around with my Infinity looking at the settings and saw there was a firmware update??? When I first got it, it said there was a firmware update to download which I did. So before I did the new firmware update I looked at my current version. It was 4.0.3. That's ICS right? Why would my tablet that's supposed to have ICS already, need to have ICS downloaded?
ASUS began rolling out an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Prime in Sweden yesterday, and today the company has followed with a statement regarding the rest of the world. Announced via the company’s official Facebook page, ASUS says global users can expect an update to the latest version “soon”.
It was supposed to be here last week, but better late than never right? If you own an ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, you can now enjoy Jelly Bean. You may already have a notification on your pad, but if you don’t, just go to Settings/About Tablet/System Update and grab it. Enjoy!!

I am trying to flash the original ICS stock firmware to my S3 but I've yet to find the ICS firmware that is identical to my baseband version:I9300UBDLI2 Does flashing with another ROM with a firmware like I9300XXALF2 brick my device?
Can anyone give me a link to the firmware with I9300UBDLI2?
I'm very new and very scared of rooting but it seems it may be my only option... I'm trying to get the jelly bean update for my Galaxy S2 but I can't connect to kies, i'm getting the error of "your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via kies". My carrier is Bell, I updated to ICS via Kies last year.
Since there doesn't appear to be a forum for the Infinity yet I figured I could ask this question here. I owned a Prime for 7 months but I never rooted it. I knew eventually I was going to sell it and didn't want to alter it. I just received my Infinity and I plan to root it and install a ROM sometime in the near future.
