Hey! I´ve got an i9100, Im from Argentina and my carrier is Claro, but the phone was originally from Portugal carrier TMN.
The number of phones upgrading from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean is slowing down, as most high-end Android devices are pretty much all shipping with Jelly Bean at this point, or are stuck with Ice Cream Sandwich with no plan for upgrade.
I'm upgrading my droid from the LG Optimus V to the HTC EVO V 4G
Which means the OS upgrades from Gingerbread 2.2 to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0
I'm hoping I could get a consensus of the notable and interesting Apps that require Android 4.0
Maybe we could make this thread a list of "Must Have Apps" for Ice Cream Sandwich.
Thanks ;)
The latest update for Google’s open source Android software has been nicknamed “Ice Cream Sandwich”. Version 4.0 of the mobile phone software is believed to be surfacing in October or November of 2011. There are some impressive new features in this update that may further chip away at Apple’s dominance of the smartphone market.
The credit card sized Raspberry Pi computer that sells for $25 now has a working version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich thanks to a port. The development community has been working towards getting Android on the Raspberry Pi with CyanogenMod 7.2 and CyanogenMod 9, but this is by far the most usable.
Two tech blogs have obtained information and images regarding Google's upcoming & Ice Cream Sandwich& version of Android, apparently from a common source. The release will feature a new, blue-themed user interface, a revised launcher for applications and widgets, and a panorama mode for cameras, among other new features mentioned by Android Police and RootzWiki....
