So I rooted my phone, but did not flash the rom (seemed too complicated at the time) All I did was install gingerbreak and link to sd, only rooted to expand the internal memory for apps. I have to send the phone back for bluetooth reasons. Do I just unroot using gingerbreak? After I unroot, and uninstall gingerbreak can I use the factory reset option now? q
I have an Htc Evo 4g it is running on original stock rom gingerbread 2.3.3 and i am trying to unroot it. It is rooted to Revolutionary and it has clockwork installed. I followed MetroPrime's instructions and rooted my phone. Now I want to unroot it and then use a different method to root my phone. (I suspect his rooting method/batch file is causing USB connection problem.)

So I have an issue. I dropped my phone the other day and cracked the screen. The screen also does not turn on anymore. I received my insurance replacement today and have rooted it and am in the process of setting it all back up again. I have replaced the phone before and used the TeamEpic unroot to unroot and reset the counter when I did it last time.
Couple basic questions for you guys:
1. I rooted my phone. I didn't install any ROMs or anything. I just wanted to get rid of the bloatware and such so it wouldn't take up space, etc. How do I unroot it incase I have to send it in? Would this also require me to lock the bootloader, and if so, how do I do this?

ok i rooted my phone a few days ago and flashed sky ice cream. i backed up the stock rom (2.3.5). i tried restoring the stock rom and its says the md5 file is missing. so i decided to unroot my phone and restore it back to stock rom using odin and sgh-i727-uck j2-k0nane.tar. the unrooting was successful however my phone is still using the sky ice cream rom.
