Hey guys, im getting a good deal on this phone, and i like the specs, but how is the screen performance in direct sunlight, because 40% of my time is spent outdoors.
I am considering exchanging my Note 2 for the DNA. My choice is to go back to my GS3 or exchange for DNA. My question that I can't seem to find in the forums is how is the screen outside in bright sunlight compared to the GS3? I spend a lot of time outdoors and the GS3 is acceptable if I turn the screen to 100%. Is the DNA noticeably better in bright sunlight than the GS3?
I tried setting the TF700's screen to maximum brightness (IPS+ mode) and I still couldn't really watch movies when I was sitting on a bus around 2-3pm. I could even see my own reflection in the screen (the TF700 screen can be used as a mirror!!!). I just want to have a sanity check, am I asking too much from the screen?
When I'm on auto bright setting, when I'm in direct sunlight I can't read the screen at all. Not even enough to navigate to the brightness adjustment. I'd like the screen to go full bright when out in the direct sun. Any ideas?
I've been living with the S3 for not quite a week now,and there a few things that are a bit of a letdown. Number one, signal strength is not as good as my previous phone, an Epic 4G. Parts of town were I only had 1 to 2 bars of service with the Epic, now produce no service with the S3. Number two, screen brightness is not as bright as the Epic 4G.
The Switzerland-based Solar Impulse group flew its HB-SIA solar-powered aircraft for 26 hours, using solar cells to collect sunlight during the day and sunlight-powered batteries at night. It is now the longest and highest manned solar flight.
