I have created a WebView browser on android and now I want to add an additional functionality at the bottom of the page. The additional functionality will call an API based users browsing.
Hi, first post and new to smartphones so please forgive my idiocy. I recently purchased the Motorola Razr Maxx for both my wife and I. My biggest factor in buying a smartphone was so we could video chat allowing me to see my son while I'm at work. I downloaded Skype to both our phones, but when I try to use it I am only given the option to make a phone call or send an SMS, no video call.
Working out in Afghanistan i've been using the N10 as my main means of communication back home. I've been using Google Talk and i'm about to put my fist through the damn thing because of how many times it crashes when trying to make a video call.
I've tried different roms, even 4.2.2 but it's still the same. Are there any video chat apps that work flawlessly on this device?
Thanks
I have a new S3, SCH-I535 with Android 4.0.4
When I am on a call, if I receive a 2nd call and answer. After I am done with the 2nd call, I tried to end that call keeping the first call open but amazingly it ended both the calls.
After that I've tried to this in different ways.
I hate to make a phone call with an android. I need to press 4 or 5 symbols on the screen before the phone finally calls my friend.
There must be an easy way to call people, for example when driving? Voice control is not an alternative (too hard to get the device to understand...).
Please, let's not do the apple vs android thing. I'm just looking to see if anyone uses skype to call mobile to mobile video chat with the quality as good as or better than FaceTime. I'm thinking about trading my iphone 5 for a note 2 and video calling is something I actually use a lot. Any other video calling apps welcome as well. Thanks.
ooVoo, the popular video call/chat service, released an app update for Android and iOS mobile devices today. The new version takes the app up to version 1.3.4 and notably, many of the new features target the Android platform.
Among the improvements that apply to both the iOS and Android versions is the ability to conduct a 4-way call.
Took a video with my Canon PowerShot SX110 and transfered it to my computer using gphoto2.when I attempt to play the video i get a solid green screen and the audio~/videos$ vlc raw_MVI_2072.avi

I am trying to figure, if Asterisk can support SIP MESSAGE message outside of established call.
I have to use SIP MESSAGE in order to simulate a near-real-time chat functionality (it's a project specification). Until now my research shows, that this is not possible.
Most people use XMPP or other means to achieve IM functionality, or install OpenSer in front of Asterisk.
