Hi all,
I was wondering if there's a way to reset the flash counter on the 7102 for warranty purposes (I know, we need to be in China but some of us visit/live there so it may be handy).
Hey guys, I know there are a few stock images floating around that can bring you back to stock, but I wanted to put down the steps I used to get back to stock with 0 flash counter.
Just in case you need to return it for warranty work and you've flashed or rooted.
To start with, I'm flash addict and always trying to flash new roms/firmwares. However after flashing one of the newest samsung firmware i got this little red exlamation mark:
I have tried to reset flash counter in a lot of ways but it always stayed at number "1" (After you reset with triangle away latest, opening app again shows 0 flash counter but after reboot it increases to 1).
Back when I was on the E4GT, Odin One clicks were the most useful tools I had used. Rooting without tripping the flash counter, and easily going back to stock. My question is, why are there none for the S3? Is it that there's too many changes in the S3 that they wouldn't work, or has anyone tried?
I read that Samsung Galaxy S3 has a hidden(?) "flash counter". Every time a user flash a ROM into his phone, the counter increments by one.
Questions:
1. How can I find out what's my phone's current "flash count"? where is the counter?
2. Other than flashing ROMs, would anything else increment the counter?
3.
My i9100m was having some problems so I sent it in to samsung under the manufacturers warranty. I flashed the stock rom but forget to reset the flash counter. Is this a bad thing and what will happen if they figure out that my phone has been rooted?
Well most of you are already aware of ChainFire`s Triangle Away and ODIN..
Trying to find out some info.. I recently came into the Bell version of the GS2 HD LTE ... Rooted and all is well currently have CM9 without issue.
QUESTION IS: I checked the counter and it has been tripped (no yellow triangle though) how can I reset or do I need to worry about it... As to warranty there is none.
Thanks for any insight as I searched and searched can't find anything on this ....
Hello,
So I have an issue. I dropped my phone the other day and cracked the screen. The screen also does not turn on anymore. I received my insurance replacement today and have rooted it and am in the process of setting it all back up again. I have replaced the phone before and used the TeamEpic unroot to unroot and reset the counter when I did it last time.
