I am bootloader unlocked but I am stock and unrooted. But want custom recovery so I can have my restart option. Just not sure how to do that. Thanks for the help
ive just unlocked the bootloader for my xoom 4g (stingray) and went to install a custom recovery and it flashes fight in fastboot then when i reboot into recovey it shows the green android logo laying down then shows the red ! . i have to hold the power and the up volume key to show stock recovery.
why is the custom recovery not sticking. is it because im not rooted?
This requires S-OFF to use, follow at your own risk!
This guide will help you to install a custom recovery on an S-OFF device without needing the bootloader to be unlocked.
Once you have the custom recovery installed, you'll be able to flash custom ROMs at your leisure.
You can also use this method to flash custom kernels as well if they're provided separate from a custom ROM.
I'm about to flash a custom recovery, but I'm not sure if my bootloader is unlocked or not (phone is rooted, but I did it a while ago, so I can't remember the process I took), and I don't want to do anything that might risk losing all my current data. Can I simply run fastboot flash recovery [recovery image], and if it doesn't work, take that to mean my bootloader is locked?
Hello I have a chinese opo with cm11s installed.Whenever I run bootloader unlock it says time taken 0.00 sec
