While browsing around the wonderful internet I found that the LG Optimus G is on Jelly Bean so I began to think :smokingsomb: "Why not port some apks from the Optimus G to this phone?" It's not like there's a guarantee the Motion will get Jelly Bean (but I still hope on the inside like a 5 year old getting a super cool gift on Christmas :ridinghorse:) so why not get a head start?
so here
Hi there! If anyone can help I'll be suuuuuuper grateful.
Yesterday evening, my phone ran out of battery. When I turned it on again I tried to send a text message but I couldn't open the messaging application. So when I pressed the message icon on the home screen, it went black and then returned to the home screen.
Would anybody be able to theme the stock messaging app so that it is black with ICS blue accents? Black message bubbles also just with the blue bubble outline and white text for both incoming and outgoing messages, think it would look nice

OK, a strange one here.
First of all, hi, I'm new :o
I've somehow managed to delete my stock SMS app.
I was having trouble downloading a picture someone had sent me as an MMS and read that a third party SMS app would be preferable. So, I downloaded Go SMS Pro. All was fine until I tried to set it a my default SMS app.
If I downloaded a rom from the developers section and extracted an apk like the messaging app, could I then install the apk on my stock rooted phone. I have already swapped out the Touchwiz messaging app for the Pure ICS messaging app found in this forum by pushing it to system folder and setting permissions.
Hey all,
I just built an app, Messaging + Google Voice. It's the native Android messaging application with Google Voice capabilities. It will allow you to send and receive Google Voice and carrier messages within the same application.
When ever I open my messaging application, it lags. When I open a text message it lags. When I type it lags really hard. When I send a message it lags. Ive tried everything. I cleared cache, force stopped application, deleted data. I even tried other messaging applications like GO SMS PRO, still lags. Main issue is the keyboard lags and sending messages lags. Please help me!
