http://forum.xda-developers.com – I'm trying to change the stock firmware on my unlocked unrooted international S3: I9300 to an official Samsung ROM downloaded from sammobile. The file I downloaded is called I9300XXDLJ4_I9300OXADLJ4_BTU. It's the UK unbranded firmware. The current firmware is on the phone is: AP: I9300XXBLH3 CP: I9300XXLH1 CSC: I9300OPSBLH3 I have unzipped the file downloaded from Sammobile, which then gave me a tar.md5 file. So I change the file to just .tar, then unzipped that file. Inside that file I have: boot.img cache.img hidden.img modem.img recovery.img system.img I then tried to use t (HowTos)

Hello guys.I downloaded an official firmware of my samsung galaxy s plus from Firmware archive | Samsung Updates .I want to see someof its stock apps and I have no clue how to do it.I've tried opening recovery.img with rar or iso but still nothing.It wouldn't let me open the .image file.So how am I suppose to open it?Thanks.

I am trying to flash stock rom for my samsung galaxy S3 T999 with T mobile. I bought it from someone it had cynagog mod in it. I am not sure what exactly is it.

ok so i have verizon galaxy nexus rooted and unlocked bootloader i tried flashing jelly bean rom and it is stuck in boot screen on my phone...i downloaded odin and the drives phone connects and all is good with that but i downloaded the factory image from android developers imm76k tar file and i unzipped it to a folder like im suppose to but when i search for the file with odin the tar file doesn

Have an AT&T Galaxy Note II.

It was rooted and there were some strange problems happening with the phone from time to time so I decided to go ahead and unroot it.

As I have done before, I decided to restore the Galaxy Note II to its original firmware.

I got the AT&T SGH-I317 firmware from Sammobile.

Loaded Odin in Windows.

I installed Omega 9 sometime back to try Jelly bean and it was a very bad idea.

So I wiped my phone within 10 mins as it was always crashing on me and downloaded the stock firmware

Today I was checking my GF's S3 and her software version is:

PDA:LFB / PHONE:LFB / CSC:LF3 (MID)

But mine says:

PDA:LFB / PHONE:LFB / CSC:LF3 (AFR)

Bear in mind that we live in the Middle East (Dubai)

Hello. I want to get my sgs stock but on sammobile I can only get 2.3.6. stock roms that contains 1 file (tar). If I flash a rom with 1 file my phone crashes but when I flash a rom with 3 files (pda, phone, csc) It works but I cant find such files. Does somebody have a download link for me?

Many of you might be aware that sammobile.com has started rolling OTA files which are nothing but pre-release firmwares! These updates usually come in .bin files instead of the regular .tar.md5 format. Can someone tell as to how we can use these .bin files?
