I wanted to install custom recovery in my Sony Xperia S L26ii , So rooted it a week ago. It is rooted for sure., I installed titanium backup and backed up everything. Yesterday I did unlock my bootloader so that I can install a custom recovery and custom rom.
Hello, I was Rooted, S-Off, Bootloader Unlocked, and on a custom ROM and recovery. Then, something wasn't working so I flashed an RUU. This messed everything up, and now I am S-On, Bootloader Locked, Stock Rom/Recovery. I still kept my root, and I presume I have a custom kernel as I cannot unroot. Is there a way to exploit this to get back to Unlocked? BTW: I'm on firmware 5.28.605.2
I'm about to flash a custom recovery, but I'm not sure if my bootloader is unlocked or not (phone is rooted, but I did it a while ago, so I can't remember the process I took), and I don't want to do anything that might risk losing all my current data. Can I simply run fastboot flash recovery [recovery image], and if it doesn't work, take that to mean my bootloader is locked?
TLDR: Need KitKat bootloader. Can it be installed on a rooted, unlocked device?
I am using CM11 on my phone (Droid Razr M/XT-907). When I try to install cyanogenmod updates using the built-in function, the installation always fails due to my bootloader being outdated. Apparently I still have the bootloader from jelly bean and I need the KitKat bootloader version.
Hey,guys...I am new to this android development so still learning about it. I am using xperia m c2005 these days. I have unlocked the bootloader of my device and installed CM 11. I didn't installed any custom recovery before flashing it but i had my TA partion backed up before unlocking bootloader. Now i want to return to stock rom 4.3 jellybean.
I am currently running rooted stock rom with HTC Dev unlocked bootloader with clockwork recovery. When I tried to download and install OTA it of course fails. I installed stock recovery, same thing installation always stucks at 1/3. I tried relocking bootloader, i tried un root.
