I get a HTC Desire Cell from my friend. When I ON The Mobile it goes up to O2 screen and didn't go to the main Screen. It reboot and vibrate some time it go to main screen but again reboot. 2ndly I dont know which software/image is install in it. I press Vol Down key and power so it went to hboot etc mode.
any body can help me in this regard.
My htc desire is just over 2 years old. Out of warranty. Have not rooted or done anything else, just running the standard software.
A couple of months ago it got damp inside the pocket of my jacket.

when i start my phone it boots into a white screen with htc logo then black screen then boot again to htc logo then goes into clockwork touch recovery

I have a black screen for HBOOT, Recovery, and booting.
I know I am in HBOOT because I can volume button to reboot and it works
I know I am in Recovery because I can press and feel vibration on 4EXT
I know I am booting because within 1 minute I can use my phone with full functionality and with screen working fine
Any thoughts on what is causing this?

S-OFF, ROOTING and ROM etc, everything worked fine!

I got a problem, that I can't root my Desire again, and I don't know why.
My Desire was once rooted, but I unrooted after installing the original RUU 2.2. version of android, After that, I installed 2,3,3 version, but I can't boot it. It shows me some black screen on boot.
I updated to HBOOT 1.0.3.003 with the official ruu upgrades.
Please I have a peculiar problem, I pray you can assist me. I tried to root my telus dhd using advanced hack kit, after running the hack kit the phone failed to reboot. It stock at a blank bLack screen. To solve that, I mistakenly flash a froyo pd98img on a GB ROM. Since then, the phone takes about 20 to 30 minutes to boot.
have flash cwm recovery and custom rom with s-on hboot 2.00.2.0 (from memory)
everything works fine but if i turn the phone off it wont boot past white htc screen until i go into fastboot and flash boot.img.
does anyone know why the boot.img won't stick after a cold boot?
