I wasn't quite sure where to put this inquiry/help request so I am putting it under General Help. Right now I am doing a back up of my main drive on a secondary drive running Ubuntu. I am compressing 200 gigs of data on the second drive, while also compressing 100 gigs on the primary drive. This is eating up my dual core CPU, at 100% load.
guys, i've been decompiling and compiling for some time now. and never got the compiling error. but today, i add some lines to an xml file in the apk. and while compiling, as it got to Building resources, it gave the following error, res/xml/settings_headers.xml. yes thats the file i added lines too. anyways, could anyone help me out here?
I was reading https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ma … ing_.2Fusr and the section was marked out of date (Compressing /usr, because `aufs2` is no longer supported). I see `aufs3` in AUR does the steps still hold? It seems like the only part with aufs is: usr /usr aufs udba=reval,br:/squashed/usr/rw:/squashed/usr/ro 0 0Will that work? Also will the original /usr folder still be used?
First of all, what is http compression and which module to use for http compression? Compressing data before transmitting to the browsers and then uncompressing the data before displaying. The module that is responsible for http compression i.e. compressing the data is called mod_deflate.The main advantage is that it saves a lot of bandwidth.

I really felt in love with Nginx I am using it and experimenting with it.
As I already said in a previouse post about Compiling Nginx with gzip_static, one of the features I like the most is the gzip_static.
Nginx can serve gzipped content in two ways.

Today I tried to compress some folders containing backup files from last year. I right-clicked on the folders and selected compress as tar.gz. I let it work, and found that hours later, the folders were still compressing. How long is it supposed to take, anyway? I was trying to compress the two sets of backups simultaneously; together they're around 1.5 GB.
