Hello Forum..
First, I'd like to acknowledge the great All-In-One tool posted for this new phone. I have been rooting Android since the HTC hero and have always trusted this site for development info. That being said...
I am having problems with my brand new HTC one...
I used rom Pac man, i want come back stock rom, so I used Ruu .exe of WEE, I'm Vietnamese .
Hi, I'm having a problem with my Australian version Htc one xl on telstra. I was trying to root my device when it got stuck on a boot loop, saying this mode is for development purposes only on the the screen on boot. It would do this for a couple of seconds then re boot. I've tried entering recovery mode through the fast boot menu but just goes back into the boot loop.
Well guys, I've got a little situation here. My Rezound is rooted S-on running new firmware, so bootloader shows "unlocked tampered". My charging port took a dump on me and verizon is sending me a replacement but I'm pretty sure I need to get rid of that Tampered Unlocked message before sending this one in.
I have a hardware issue with my phone (buttons are kinda stuck), and I'd like to return it - but of course need to get rid of any indication that it's been rooted. From what I can tell, all the bootloader "relock" options will still show "Tampered" and "Relocked" at the top of the screen when I turn it on.
I have a brand new Rezound that came shipped with ICS. I tried to unlock and root, which failed. The boot loader screen reads TAMPERED. So I re-locked the Rezound. Now it says TAMPERED, RELOCKED, SECURITY WARNING.
My question to you all is, I want to S-Off my Rezound, is it possible? I've searched the forums.
So now that we have S-Off, I decided to do a bit of research on how to get rid of the red HTC disclaimer and the word "Tampered" from the bootloader screen.
Seems that there is only one way to get rid of "Tampered" and that's to re-lock your bootloader and then flash a RUU.
Whether the word stays gone after you re-flash a custom recovery and ROM/kernel I can't say for sure.
