Problem comes here.
Some of my friends from our association including me want to develop roms based on AOKP or cm, and those development projects are based on STOCK kernel for it is less likely to crack and are much easier to test.
WHEN I dealt with 4.1.2, I made a mixture of it (mostly framework) with the older 4.1.1-stock kernel rom, and was finally able to boot on stock 2.3 kernel.
Hi All,
First, i wanna say "i'm sorry if this was posted in this X10's forum" :).
Well..
Hi guys,
I don't understand if the ROM KXP need a custom Kernel or if works also with the stock ICS Kernel, with bootloader locked...I'm referring to this thread:

Anyone can help me about this? Thanks and sorry for my bad english :o
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is not in the least bit dev-minded and is utterly useless at compiling/decompiling anything (tried once, ended up with a shiny expensive paperweight!), so I'm wondering if one of you superhumans could compile a version of TWRP to work with stock ROMs/kernels?
I did try the way posted in forums of sudo apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-glx nvidia-xconfig nvidia-settings.

LuPuS-PRO-STOCK KERNEL
Hi most of you already know my LuPuS-Stock kernel so thought i'd make one for you all that will work with any
cm9 based roms such as AOKP-by Supervenom and Paranoid Android, and obviously CM9 as well.
Finally, Im proud to present:

Hey there, I'm still fairly new to the custom Android stuff and I had a question about ROMs that isn't too clear to me.
Let me start off by saying I have made a nandroid backup, and I have flashed ROMs before on my HTC One X, but I recently switched to the S III because I was unhappy with the < 200 MB of usable RAM.
I am currently looking into trying 2-3 ROMs, AOKP, TuchMi, and maybe Cyan
Do Cyanogenmod Based ROMS use the same kernel as the original CM9 ROM? I wonder. Will, say the Flyme OS which is based on CM9 work on the original cm9 kernel?
It's a noobish question I know :/
