Since the accessory thread is way too cluttered with questions and other non-related stuff, I am posting a new thread on this.
Just received the MHL to HDMI out adapter from SUPREME WIRELESS - Samsung HDTV Smart Adapter (MHL to HDMI) - $16.99 : Verizon Cell Phones | No Contract GSM and CDMA Unlocked Phones | OnSaleCell.com
Total was about $24 with shipping.
Now that Ill have a S3, Just was wondering, I saw the adapter I need for USB. But can this work with the HDMI at the same time? Would be neat at home to have my dock, using the hdmi adapter on it, then plug the usb otg to that.
I've got a Displaylink USB-HDMI adapter that I'd like to use to hook up an external monitor. My set up includes my laptop monitor, a monitor connected via HDMI, and this 3rd monitor through the Displaylink adapter.
I've done a ton of searching and haven't found any straight forward info.
I have both a genuine Samsung MHL adapter and the S2 mhl adapter with the 5pin to 11pin converter and I've seen both of these work on other phones.
However, I can't get my video out working on my S3. Both of them connect and bring up active charge and indicate onscreen that "HDMI cable connected". So I know the adapter and cable is being detected but no signal on HDTV.
Hi all,
first of all I would like to compliment you on this great forum. I am new here as a registered member, but in the past the forum could already help me a lot of times :p
However, this is not the case for my current issue, thats why I decided to register and post my first thread.
I am using a Dell All-In-One Computer with Ubuntu.
Good day.
Earlier this year my son purchased a Note 2.
I'd like to be able to use a keyboard, mouse, USB hard drive, and HDMI simultaneously.
Is this possible?
I have a 50% off cupon for Samsung accessories. I see they have a dock/keyboard combo I can purchase. The keyboard has a Samsung connector on it.
We’ve previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S III uses a special MHL/HDMI adapter and you would not be able to use the last-generation MHL to HDMI adapter cables because of hardware changes. Samsung has come forward with a great solution as they have built a 5-pin to 11-pin adapter that allows the old cable to work with the new phone.

I could potentially have a lot of use for the video out on this phone, like I did on my triumph, but my situation is that right now I only have a projector as my main screen and it only has VGA inputs.
I connect my pc to it by using a small DVI to HDMI adapter, but it only works becuase my videocard supports passing thru the vga signal over the DVI cable.
