[Q] Camera not working properly!

http://forum.xda-developers.com – I am on cm9.1 FXP 205 and mesa hybrid kernel 3.5 on Live with Walkman and my camera is not working properly. I get a black screen with all the ui of camera app and when I touch the blue button the pic is taken but I couldn't see anything while I was taking the pic. I tried recording videos but it forced closes or shows not responding . I also tried other apps but got the same result. Please HELP!!! :crying: BULLET (HowTos)

I'm running CM7.2 with the stock CM kernel and no CPU tweaks.

About a week ago my camera just up and stopped working, "Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding".

Pardon me if i'm posting this in the wrong section. I flashed the JellyTime AOKP v7 Saga rom (which apparently fixes video recording) i cant seem to even get the camera working let alone the 720p recording . There's no preview in camera, just a black screen . it prompts me to tap the screen to focus . hangs for a few seconds and then says "gallery is not responding" then force closes.

I've recently replace the LCD on the my vibrant and since then I can't get the camera working. I touch the icon, lhe camera app load with a black screen. I have Odin back to stock still the same problem.. So I've purchased a camera and installed and I have the same problem.

Is there anything else I could do?

Hello fellow xda members,

Today I was flashing my i9000 from android 4.0.4 (team ICSSGS) To CM10. Camera was not working too well at the 4.0.4, (this was the main reason to flash to CM10.

After flashing CM10 it gave immediate "camera not responding" messages when opening the camera. So then i flashed back to android 2.3.5 XXJVT.

hi frnds i have a desire hd my camera is not working :mad:it shows a black screen and comes back to the previous screen when ever selecting camera it is running on android 2.3 i dunno wheather it was updated from 2.2 coz it was my bros ph he jus kept it as a sec phone and i took it from him guys pl help is there any way to make my cam working ...:cyclops:

Hi all, I have a problem with my camera 4.0.4 ICS Live with Walkman, BL Locked

the problem is that it looks cloudy, the front camera is excellent but the rear camera is bad and does not take good photos. This happened when installing the viper V4 Rom, thinking it could be that the problem, change the rom to the ultimate HD and is the same problem ...

First thankyou russel for this awesome rom... my phone feels much faster and responsive. :good:

I installed revlnmod3.5 and everything is perfect except there is no camera app...

Has something gone wrong during installation :confused: .... this is my first time installing a custom rom...

Also how can i get the camera app now ?

Hi I wonder if somebody is able to port the camera app from GS III or from HTC One S. The reason why I ask this is there's a really good function in the apps, taking photos while recording videos whitch i'd really enjoy in my SGS II. Thanks

Hi good afternoon, I have red some forums for my SGT p1000, but never found answer to my question.

I have tried several ROM (4.04, 4.1.1) but still can't find the one with good camera. While opening the camera, it always crashed "Camera not responding". Also, tried some application from Google Play as advised in other forums but they still failed.
