Quick question I have been using (ptmr3) |ROM| Padawan |V1| 9|26
which is great most of all little issues I have been able to solve.
The only minor issue is the boot animation has At&t boot splash which other
rom i was able to change by using root explorer and manually replacing the
bootanimation and fixing permissions I have tried this locations :
/sysmtem/media
/proc/1/root/data/l
I am a Noob on Xda-Developers. Please forgive me for my English.
The Android boot animation is stored within one very special file named bootanimation.zip inside the phones memory. Change the .zip, change the animation. Its as simple as that.
Whats not simple is how Android stores bootanimation.zip. For some unknown reason, Android actually keeps two copies of the animation file.
I am not part of Team Fah-Q, but I use their ROMs. I made this boot animation to go with them.
Hi Guys,
Used the ROM Toolbox to change my boot animation several times successfully (over numerous months). Last change, on the next reboot, I get the Google splash screen, then black. The phone actually boots fine, but you can't properly wake the screen any more.
Hey so i've been really keen on trying to make my own custom boot animation something i actually think is funny but every time i load it the screen goes black past the google screen.
Hey, Devs. Question for you folks. Basically, what I want to do, is make a boot animation. I know certain things that I need, but what I really want to know is this:
Some ROMs have a bootanimation.zip in /system/customize/resource, and some have it in /system/media
Which is correct?

Those of you with a Samsung device looking to add a custom boot animation, your prayers have finally been answered. Thanks to the work of XDA members anbech and smokin1337, it can finally be accomplished. As you might or might not know, most Android devices use the bootanimation.zip format for boot animation.
