http://forum.xda-developers.com – Long story short. My Bionic is on the fritz. Started off by trying to uninstall Bootstrap and install Safestrap and it went to hell from there. End story I've FXZ'd back to 902 a number of times, taken the OTA to 905 and updated to ICS several times. I've factory reset, wiped internal and SD cards, swapped batteries and SD cards all to no avail. Here is my current state. ICS stock can't seem to hold root. (rooted at 905 and then updated to ICS used Motofail, Pete's and 1-click exploit) Wifi won't turn on (starts and then errors out), won't go into dock mode either in Car dock or desk top (HowTos)

I recently rooted my Bionic with

Motofail (Root and 43V3R Root, for 5.5.886-5.9.902). I had 5.9.905 but it worked.

I installed bootstrap app and put CWM Recovery on it. I downloaded

STOCK-cm-10-20120924-UNOFFICIAL-targa.zip

from

Here is were I screwed up.

ICS half root? 26 weeks 6 days ago

just updated bionic to ICS .246 via RSD. was originally running stock GB rom other than it being rooted. I tried rooting ICS but im not sure whats happened. titanium backup says the phone is rooted but i cannot uninstall any of the junk apps nor make any changes usuing SQLite. i’ve tried FDR and rooting it numerous times using droid razr root, razrs edge and motofail ICS.

Ok.. I am an admited NOOB and have officially reached the frustration mark in trying to root my bionic. I've been to a ton of threads from different places and get confusing and outdated info so I thought I'd give it a shot here. Here is what i'm experiencing..

I have tried to root my Bionic using SuperOneClick, Motofail, etc. SuperOneClick gets hung up at step 5 and then stops.

Stock Rooted ROM / Safestrap 1 year 5 weeks ago

Does anyone know if there is a ZIP file for stock rooted ROM (.173) that I can flash in CMW to install it? Every thread I read about using RSDLite to flash it. I have yet to see it otherwise.

To make a long story short, I want to be able to install the stock rooted ROM on the Safestrap partition to upgrade to the ICS leak.

I have an old ipod touch that i use to listen to music when i sleep. The ipod sits right on the dock and also the dock has an alarm clock built into it. Im trying to find one like this for the bionic. I see that standard dock and i like the look of it. However, it doesn't have speakers. Does anyone know of any suggestions?

Dock Update Came Too 34 weeks 1 day ago

about 2 hours after I updated to JB, i connected my dock. As soon as I did it told me there was a dock update available. It updated dock to version 0207. Can't see anything it did to change it, maybe only internal stuff. Anyway if you have a dock you don't use all of the time connect to to getthe update after you install JB!

I often put my Bionic in the Car Dock while driving as I like the Tunein Radio app. Of course when I put it in, it goes to Car Dock mode. Now, I always just press the back button to get to the main home screen, but I have noticed that the large icons on the Car Dock home screen, the Navigation, Voice Search, etc, will sometimes be orange and sometimes be white.

General Lost signal 6 weeks 1 day ago

Twice in the past two months I've lost my signal. Both times phone was randomly rebooting and i had no signal, not 4g or 3g. First time ended up doing a factory reset to get it back. This time used House of Bionic and did a factory reset but kept data. Nothing else would get 4g back.

Can't remove safestrap startup 18 weeks 12 hours ago

Hey guys,

Just got a used Razr M that was rooted with safestrap 3.05 v. 2.2.2.1. I unrooted the phone and can't seem to get rid of safestrap. There's no app icon or apk on the phone for me to uninstall safestrap. I was going through the recovery menu and could not find anything on how to remove safestrap.
