[Q] Battery drain from wifi on CM9?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Recently, I switched from Oat's Light n' Tasty to CM9 nightlies (currently on 20121202) which I flashed with CWM. I have noticed that the battery drains significantly faster with CM9 when the device is asleep. Looking at better battery stats I found that ath6kl_wow seems to be the culprit, which was reinforced with GSam which reported that 89% of the battery was consumed by wifi. Any ideas of what may be the problem or how to resolve the battery drain? Thanks. (HowTos)

i flashed miui v4 on defy green lens but experienced battery drain on my phone.so i flashed stock froyo and after that miui gb or cm7 whatever i flash there is battery drain from around 62-63% to 47% and 19% to 4%. Can somebody help me with this?i tried eveything like battery callibration and battery stats wipe but nothing helped.

I've been experiencing problems with my Desire S

Basically I've been having massive battery drain when on a data connection (wifi and mobile data), my battery gets fully discharged within an hour.

This sort of thing never happened before and I haven't installed any apps (that I know of) that may contribute to the huge drain.

hi everyone, recently i discovered huge battery drain on my note. when i fully charge it the battery drops from 100 to 80 percent in about 9 hours of standby. in order to find the culprit i installed better battery stats and let it run over night.

So I've tried ctmod, MIUI, and Quattrimus ICS, all of which are amazing, but for some reason I have really insane battery drain even though I barely use my device. I'm pretty sure its the wifi, but I'm not sure why this doesn't happen on stock? How is it the same exact issue on 3 different roms? Battery drain occurs on clean installation, I just log into my google account.

I have a huge battery drain while browsing on my sgs2 running CM10 and recently siyah 5 RC1 (before original cm10 kernel). It is hard to find threads like that, there is always talk about wakelocks and other drain issues. So I wrote a new one.

The battery drain surfing the internet over wifi is huge compared to other things I use my phone for.

I got my VM GS2 4G the first weekend it came out. I liked the advertised battery life, but quickly realized that my phone suffered from heavy battery drain as many of them do.

I recently purchased a galaxy s3 lte with the extended 3000mah battery. I have found the battery drain to be unusually high. it is draining at around 3% an hour. I am on the sentinel ROM. I changed to the normal slim battery and it also seemed to be draining at a similar rate.

Hi, I have a few questions regarding various wakelocks that I hope somebody will be able to advise on. Whether they are normal or not Im not sure.
