you can try logging Into your router by typing the routers IP address and check your wifi settings. I know on the linksys router I changed one of the 2 settings to wireless n instead of setting it to do a/b/g and then my wifi on statler was unable to work. I think the router at the Toyota dealership is the same way since my laptop can't connect to their router.
I am having trouble with a site to site tunnel.
Both routers are centos based routers.
Router A is the server, and router B is the client.
The VPN tunnel is established.
From router B, I can ping anything on the network of router A.
From router A (and the network behind it),
I cannot ping anything on the network behind router B, or behind router A.
So basically, router B is the only node that
I have a Linksys WAG320N Wireless N router and a Belkin Wireless N router. The Linksys is acting as a modem and DHCP server, and I want to set up the Belkin as an AP. Is there any reason this shouldn't be possible? Am I right in thinking it's a case of connecting the two routers via ethernet and setting up the Belkin as an AP only and giving it a static IP?
Hi guys.
I don't know much about wireless, so here is a question for you all.
I recently moved to a new place, which is cool. Unfortunately the modem sits in one end of the apartment and the office is at the opposite end, and routing an Ethernet cable is pretty tricky since I rent and can't really drill holes in the wall.
I have Ubuntu 11.04 and I would want to uptate it.
However, my ubuntu does not link to my router wireless.
I have a ZTE Wireless router (local provider OTE) and all my devices (Android & Windows) connect to it.
My installation of Ubuntu 12.10 on an HP 110 laptop locates all other wifi networks around but not mine.
Even on a configured connection it refuses to connect to this wifi network.
Any ideas?
When I first started using Ubuntu, I had a D-Link router that I could not make work, and the general consensus of the Ubuntu users I was talking with was that the best bet was to just get a Linksys router. My son and I swapped routers then. I have his Linksys, he has the D-Link.
I've been using Ubuntu for a couple of years, but I'm still very much a noob. I took my laptop to an coffee shop two weeks ago and was able to connect to their free WiFi. However, since then, I have been unable to reconnect to my wireless router at home. I reset the router and did everything but I have no luck. My roommate uses Windows and he has no problem connecting.
I have a netgear WGR614 v8 and a Brother HL-2270DW wireless printer. Yesterday I flashed the router with DD-WRT firmware. now my printer will not connect. printer error page says "Connection : Failed (Error : TS-07) The machine cannot detect a WLAN access point/router that has WPS or AOSS enabled.
