I'm currently trying to set up eclipse (Juno) for android development on a mac, version 10.5.8 (leopard I believe).
I am attempting to root my phone and i have downloaded SDK 20.0.3 but i am lost as to what path i need to download the needed files. Instructions say /platform-tools but i dont have a platform-tools folder. I have a single folder platform and another as tools. Where do i place the files... help

I am using Ubuntu (newbie) and I installed JRE, JDK and Android-SDK knowing that this is what I need to start developing android apps. However, I noticed that platform-tools directory is missing. According to some articles that I read, I need to run the android tool inside the "Tools" folder to get a copy of the missing folder.

Beginners are mostly afraid of command prompt. Whenever they see a command prompt, they immediately say its very difficult. But its not true. The Command prompt is as friendly as GUI (Graphical User Interface), provided if you use it with proper procedure. Most people use GUI tools to search for files.
Hi i'm trying to root my HTC DESIRE Z , i've rooted it before but after i broke it i sent it to a local htc service to fixit it ofcourse they unrooted me so now i'm running on 2.3.3 Android version , Sense 2.1 (Like before when i succeeded in rooting ) .
i tried connect my 7` tab (KrugerKM0793) by USB. I unistaled all driver USB and instaled
from ~~dk\extras\google\usb_driver, then device manager found "Android ADB Interface".
I thought, it will be ok. No error, nice.
I am working on an application which consists of different screens, which I am designing as different activities with different layouts. For each screen, there are two, large (1536x2048) png files, used as overlay backgrounds (they are alpha blended).
Attempted to flash Liquid Jelly Bean, then got stuck on the animation boot screen. I've tried Root tool kit for unbricking and setting it back to stock. Tell me it's successful but stays stuck on the animation screen.
I've also tried to unbrick manually however even though I have the correct files placed in my Platform Tools folder of Android SDK ...
