http://forum.xda-developers.com – I noticed that my screen doesnt turn off when I answer phone calls. I though it was a problem with the ROM I was running until I flashed a new one and found out it was there too. So I flashed to stock and unrooted via ODIN. The issue still exists. I turned off the lights in my room...no flashing of the proximity sensor and I tested it in the Galaxy S3's hidden menu...it read "Proximity 0.0 ADC; 0(0,0,0)" I was wondering if there is a possible fix that I could do, because I would really hate to have to return it to VZW. I had multiple replacements with my Nexus till finally the (HowTos)

Love this awesome phone but as of late the proximity sensor on this note has either broke or is buggy. First started to notice that the red light of the proximity sensor would not turn off. After a while as I make phone calls my screen will turn off but as I put my phone away from my face it doesn't turn back on.

As title says: since i rooted my desire hd and flashed a custom rom, the proximity sensor ( G-sensor) and compass aren't working anymore. Tried to calibrate, reset, hard reset, flashed other roms, nothing helped. While calibrating, nothing moved, not the levelers and not the needle of the compass. What relation do they have together? Is it one part?

I have a P925. Unlocked it though IMEI, my proximity sensor was acting up, since the screen went off during calls and no button would bring it back. I checked the rest of the components on the same flex cable (camera, earspeaker, noise mic) and all work fine except for the proximity sensor, so i thought it might be a software problem. I rooted the phone and installed the clockworkMOD thing...

Can someone help me turn off the proximity sensor?? I've tried build prop editing and multiple apps but its never listed. I really need some help because every call i make i have to end up doing a battery pull to see the screen again. I'm running paranoid android 2.99

Hello - I own HTC ONE X since last few days the proximity sensor's red light (above the screen on the left-top corner) is turned on 24/7 regardless in a call or not.

Have the Rogers HTC One X....its rooted and bootloader unlocked using the HTCDev method. The only problem i have is with the Proximity Sensor!!

During calls, unless i COMPLETELY cover the sensor, as in the phone is pressed against my face/ear...the phone will stay on!!

So now its seems like it only has two settings: Screen ON when nothing is there.

My HTC ARIA LIBERTY has some problem.When I get a call the display flashed and off.it never get on.in front of the phone near the power button it get on again.I saw in the thread it is the problem of the proximity sensor.How do i fix this.the sensor hardware can be exchange??? or what :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hello my friends, I'm looking for about how to solve the problem between the proximity sensor and the call rec. I suppose everyone knows what i'm talking about, i've done the phone apk with call rec and no incremental tone. And if the proximity sensor is activated and you try to record a call it stops.....:silly: Any idea or trick to solve the problem? Thanks :good:
