Many people reported issues with proximity sensor being buggy. If calibrating didn't work for you the issue is probably the same as mine.
This only affects third party apps screen on/off during calls should be working fine.
What happens is that any app requiring the use of proximity sensor will work straight after installation but will most likely stop working after a reboot.
So, I have a Galaxy SII with Apolo Regular Kernel v4.14 running on NeatRom v6.3.
My problem is, that my Proximity and Light sensor doesn't work.
In-call the screen won't turn of only if I turn it off with the power button, which is annoying.
I've alreadz tried to fix it with signed_cm10_proxfix_update.zip which worked for a while, but not anymore.
When I enter the "secret code" (*#0*

I have gestures using proximity sensor added to my application. I am wondering how I can add functionality where swiping a distance over the screen will wake my app. I have the gesture code all working. Here is my problem.
I want the swipe to open screen ONLY when screen is asleep AND my app is the currently open app (when screen turns on my app is open).
I think I'm having a issue with the proximity sensor on my htc one. I End up disconnecting calls or loudspeaker.
The proximity sensor is on the top left of the phone and i normally put my ear against the top right f the phone as I wear glasses. Since i have small ear's, the sensor doesn't get covered. Normally the sensor is near the ear piece so never had this issue.
I've run across the specifications for this android device, the HTC One V. On the PhoneArena site, the specs have it that the phone has both a proximity sensor and a light sensor. I thought a proximity sensor uses light to detect proximity. What is the difference between these two?
