1. The Software Updates app is broken and won't update anything.
I connect to my headless server through a VNC session.
I am using KPackageKit to try and update all my software, my problem is I get the following error:

More information is available in the detailed report.

I believe the problem started a month or so ago when I was updating

When trying to update with update manager I get this:
"Apply the following changes?
Warning
You are about to install software that cannot be authenticated!"
And then a list of the non authenticated software, the software to be upgraded and the software to be installed. At the bottom of this window there's an option for download packages files only.
What to do?
Hi,
I seem to be having issues updating. Through update manager things just seem to hang, and if I try sudo apt-get update I get errors like Err 403 Forbidden. I tried creating a sources list then replacing the old one, but upon running the keys as the website suggested this also failed.
Hello fellow forum lurkers,
I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and I seem to be having problems updating and various other problems that my stem from the updating one (I'm not sure). So, I'm getting an error when I try to update, I use the Update Manager, get an error, so I go to the Terminal, update there, and get the same answer.
I just installed Kubuntu 12.04, and I've been trying to install updates (with Muon Software Updater) or add software (with Muon Software Center). However, most of the time both programs fail to ask for a user password before installing and then an error comes up saying the operation failed because I didn't provide authentication, even though it didn't ask for a password. Any help is appreciated.
After rebooting, I briefly saw a message indicating ATT new software update.
I went to "Settings", and it began updating process of 44 apps.
After completing installation, I checked "Software Information" - still Android 4.1.1
Does anyone know what this update did?
Are we getting update to Android 4.1.2 soon?
