Is Sprint still doing the free battery promo? It seemed like there was some hoops one had to jump through in order to get one and yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway, my battery isn't charging unless my nex is idle for a long time. And yes I've tried multiple chargers, rebooted, and yadda yadda yadda. I think it's time for a new one.
I want to more about Linux must be one of my most enduring sentiments.
But I often find that I learn the most, or perhaps just feel the most satisfied with what I have learned, when I simply crack open the history books.
What's hiding in /etc and /dev that I don't know about? Well, files.
Hey, anyone manage to get android working on any of the linux laptops? I know that android has been ported to laptops such as the inspiron, but in order to put android on it I'd have to repartition and put ubuntu back on it and yadda yadda yadda. Anyone know for a fact how to?
Facebook for android notifications stopped working for me a while back so I went to friendcaster and it was ok but for some reason I prefer the official app!
So I thought I would try Facebook again with a full re-install..yadda yadda yadda (all other remedies tried).
Then I noticed this through BBS.
Does this mean there is a server problem at their end or could it be a problem on my sgs2?

Ok so I picked up a Titanium Note 2 today at Best Buy. Wiped and traded in the 16GB IPhone 4 for $125. I added a 32Gb Class 10 Sandisk Micro Sim and a black Otterbox case, despite the known fitment issues. The Note definitely rocks!
I downloaded in image of 12.04 and I want to burn it onto a CD.
Apparently each time I boot to the 10.10 LiveCD and try to burn the image using the default application (Brasero disc burner), when I replace the LiveCD with the empty CD, the system freezes.
What do I need to do so the system doesn't freeze and lets me burn my image?
Possibly a race condition? I'd try to put a few sleep/wait statements in /etc/rc.local, right before the line that causes the error, to makes sure the device is not busy anymore. Also, please use code tags! They make error messages SO much easier to read:[ code ]yadda yadda[ /code ]Without the spaces.

NOTE: I am NOT responsible if you mess up your phone, yadda yadda yadda. You're doing this of your own choice :cowboy:
Anyone who is having issues with "Bill to my Sprint Account" not showing up as a payment option on the play store, I tried all the solutions I saw online and to no avail. Sprint/Google had no idea what was wrong.
I have a project with the usual stuff (source code, yadda, yadda) and I want to have a command to Scons (but it could be whatever build system to be honest) that will do the following:
Build the system -- this is easy.
Create a tar ball of the system -- this is easy.
