I'd really like to put a new ROM on my one S but I just don't know what to do....
My last phone was a Nexus One and I had CM7 running on it. Was very happy with it but it seems there still isn't a fully working stable CM for this phone yet( at least from what I am seeing on this site ). Additionally, a friend did the rooting and put the ROM on my phone for me.
Hey all. I own a Kyocera Rise and tried rooting it. I had SuperSU at first and then I was able to switch to Superuser. However I've been reading through the forums and haven't found a way to properly root my phone. My wife has a Kyocera Rise also and I used the Hydro root to root her phone with no difficulties.
ok. so i had a rooted phone. no problems. then i upgraded sd card and the trouble happened. needless to say i ended up unrooting with gingerbreak(what i used to root). i verified this with root checker. all my root apps stayed on my phone tho along with superuser. i then tried to root again with gingerbreak and now it wont let me successfully root. any help is appreciated.
I don't know if I should root my phone, I hear some people on youtube saying don't root, not need, " both I like to freeze apps, "like the apps I download, that re start up by its own" they say the root that is out now ,ain't even for the Lg Motion..that wit will mess up your phone...
Has anyone had problems rooting it, and after rooting it?
I haven't had really problems with
I rooted my daughter's EVO 3d with Hboot version 1.3. I don't remember exactly method I used, but I think that it was revolutionary. I got superuser on the phone and s-off when the process was complete, but root apps won't work, and root checker says that I don't have proper root access. The phone works fine just no root. What am I missing?
Hi, I have a xt912 Droid RAZR Maxx using 4.0.4 ICS and I used the root method that was provided here. I then went root app crazy and also installed the superuser.apk file with the Elite.
this thread is intended to be a "one stop shop" for rooting any variation of the HTC One.
currently, the known method of rooting is to unlock the bootloader via htcdev, then use a custom recovery to install superuser root files.
So after successfully rooting & putting Gingerbread on hubby's phone, I decided to finally do it to my phone. All went very smoothly. I'm currently in the process of reinstalling my favorite apps (I'm so glad to be free of the totally useless crap that came stock on the phone!)...anyway, after all was done, I got a google play notification that there was an update for Superuser.
Firstly I have an s3 running JB with Rogers here in Ontario. Ive been thinking about rooting my phone mainly because I want a better battery life and connect a ps3 controller with my phone for the GTA app.
I honestly know nothing about rooting or what this process even means completely but I have some questions:
1) Will rooting change the layout of my phone right away?
