I'm running Fedora 17 on VMware. I need to install the VMware tools. I have followed the instructions but get stuck. It asks for the folder with the includes. I have installed kernel-devel and kernel-headers then updated the kernel.
I had troubles installing VMware Tools 9 (VMware workstation) on Fedora 18.
The VMware tools installer was complaining that the kernel-headers path was "", and I could not continue.
I've a machine that has a AMD Phenom quad-core, 8 GB RAM, 2 - 1TB drives using Raid-1. And on this I'm currently running CentOS 5.3 64-bit and under it I'm running VMware Server 2.0.2; Oracle 11g R2, Apache 2.2, JBoss 5.0, and some other things I like.
Im Using Centos 5.5 i686 , its installed in Vmware Player , And while trying to open http://192.168.200.129/webmin-1.600/ in google chrome or any other browser in Base System Windows Xp its Shows as Index of /webmin-1.600 and folders were listed and shown in browser , some webmin or CRM software are inside /var/www/html , its not showing the installion page ..

I have Vmware Fusion 2.0.6 (196839) running on my MacBook Pro. I installed Fedora 11 on the fusion and it works fine. The only problem that I am having is that when I try to install vmware tools, by runnning ./vmware-install.pl in the terminal, I am prompted with this message:

I have tried installing Vmware-Server 1.0.10 on Fedora Core 12.
After installing all packages it fails on building the vmmon module.
In the internet i found many patches and vmware-any-any-updates...but nothing worked.
My Kernel Vresion is 2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.i686.PAE...
Has anybody an idea?
I'm really new to sysmtemtap.
just want to install and try systemtap on my lab server.
My Linux release version is centos 6.3 and kernel version 2.6.32-279.5.2.el6.i686.
I followed some doument, do
yum install kernel-devel
yum install kernel-debuginfo
yum install systemtap
all completed without error or warning.
