Problems with crunchbang logging in and booting

view story

http://crunchbang.org – I struggled a lot with this issue too, hd graphics 4000, and used nomodeset and the other suggestions that you get here, but even if it would let me boot with those options, it wasn`t optimal. Then Debian Joe sent me a link to a post that he had written earlier, with a workaround on this issue. I don`t know If I`m able to find the post, but I copied the content and stored it in my Dropbox-folder, so that I`m 100% sure that I don`t loose this workaround. It worked perfectly for me. Props should go to Debian Joe if it works for you too:) Anyway, here it is:Assuming that someone runs across this (HowTos)
