Hi,
I just installed OpenSUSE 11.2 64 bit on my new Dell Studio 1557 laptop (with i7), which has a Dell 1520 wireless card.
I checked Dell's site, they only have Windows drivers.
So how can I get appropriate driver for Linux ?
There is that comment regarding wireless on Dell Studio:
Hello
I have installed Opensuse 11.3 in my Dell Studio 1735 laptop successfully.
I just installed 11.2 on a Compaq Evo N1000v.
This particular machine was used and had no wireless card in it.
I bought a Linksys usb connector. Opensuse shows it in the network app but it shows no activity at all and does not 'see' the wireless network in the location
Trying to help a friend with a new laptop set up a dual-boot system. We had an issue with wireless.
Laptop Model: Dell Studio 1558.
The built in wireless is an Intel® 6250 Wireless-N w/WiMAX (2x2) Mini Card
When the install first completed wireless was disabled, and in my search I found the rmmod/blacklist method using the string "dell_laptop" to get around the wireless switch issue.
I have the windows XP media edition running on my Dell Inspiron E1405 with all the hardware working properly. Recently i wipe out the windows and installed the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using the CD and the installation process completed successfully but my wireless stopped working after.
Computer wireless indicator turned off and I can't even do the wired connection as well.
As part of the wiki review process (in conjunction with moving to the new wiki instance) I'm currently helping out to rework the Wireless HCL found here:

Hey I'm trying to get my wirless card working with Ubuntu ver.
I just installed Fedora as a dual-boot (other OS in Win7) on my Dell Inspiron 1750 and, of course, the wireless card is missing firmware.
The wireless card is called Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN mini-card. When I run lspci on Fedora it says that the card is a BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01).
