A problem with "VPN Connection" in Ubuntu..

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello Everybody, I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on my laptop. And I am trying to connect to the interneet. I attached the network cable to my laptop and it recognizes the network. But when I go to: "VPN Connectios ==> Configure VPN" a window appears and in that window at "VPN" section the "ADD" tab is not active so I can not establish a VPN connection. Is it possible to activate the "ADD" tab? Or Some laptops are not compatible for VPN connections through Linux? Would it be possible for someone to help me in this matter? Hello Everybody,

I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on my laptop. For editing some text files we can use "vi' and "gedit" editor, but not "kwrite".

Is it possible to have kwrite working in Ubuntu or it is for other distributions?

I all, I 've two computer with Ubuntu 9.10 (desktop version)connected by cross over cable. I try to connect this computers in LAN with the following command:

I am trying to connect my Aspire One running ubuntu 9.10. I am using Wicd to configure wireless. I am on a school campus that has a couple hundred wifi points that all have the same key and ESSID. I can scan and see networks, and I set the network to use encryption, and to use WEP (passphrase).

I have GShutdown 0.2 on ubuntu .when i put it on with some time it is just restarting the session and going directly to login window.

Hi, A novice and tried to set up remote desktop from XP workstation using VNC4Server. Have lost GUI interface on server console. I tried to reverse what I did but still no display.

I am trying to use "hexdump" on the files in the /dev/ directory. This is ubuntu 9.10.
