Problem with screen--water damage?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – So I dropped my phone on a wet floor. I wiped it off and it seemed fine. Next day, after some normal use, I turn on the screen and only the capacitive buttons turn on, not the screen itself. I hold down the power button to reset, and its still like that. The phone works and incoming calls/alarms still sound, i just have no way to answer them. Later I managed to get the screen to come on by literally smacking the phone (it filickers a bit during the smacking process). Yet after any substantial movement it goes blank again. This process repeats a few times until smacking is no longer any use. (HowTos)

I'm sure there have been many posts about cracked screens...

but my glass screen is NOT cracked. I was the grocery store and my phone fell on the floor. the floor there was very similar to the floors at Costco and the phone fell hard. the flip cover even popped out. My phone looks fine and had no scratches on the corners or anything.

Hi, i have an international Galaxy S3 (i-9300). I recently updated to Jelly Bean via Samsung Kies (baseband version I9300DXDLI5) and there's a change that has been bugging me. In stock ICS, when the screen turned off due to inactivity, pressing either the power button or the home button would turn on the screen and lets me pick up where i left off.

I have a Motorola Milestone that was working fine until it was charging, and suddenly nothing comes up on screen. You can wake it up and the capacitive buttons function and provide feedback, but it's just a blank black screen, with backlit. You can power it off and on, and you can see the screen turn on, but no Moto logo or anything else.

So recently Ive noticed that when I make a phone call, the screen turns off so you dont hit buttons while talking. But when I remove the phone from my ear, the screen doesnt turn on...so I have to press the unlock button.

The worse was yesterday when I was on a call, I remove the phone from my ear, doesnt turn on.

Not too sure how to work this site yet so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. Yesterday my phone dropped into water for less than 2 seconds, the water damage indicators are still white. My phone was working up until late last night when the screen was tinted green and flashes on and off continuously.

So I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S3 this past Monday and exchanged it today for a new one because I went to turn on the screen and the phone was not responsive.

The screen would remain black and would not respond to any button on the phone. The notifications light was off and when I tried calling the phone it would ring on the outgoing end, but my phone would not.

Hi, I need some help. After a factory reset, my Galaxy si19000 takes a long time to turn on. It powers on ok but only get the welcoming screen come on/off sometimes for anything up to 5 minutes before the main screen opens and then everything is available and works fine. It does it with or without my simcard.

I have a slight issue. My wife's evo 3d screen is no longer coming on. Her phone is HTC Dev Unlocked. Battery is charged, and it doesn't matter if I try to get into bootloader, recovery, or just try to power the phone on. The capacitive buttons light up like they should, but the screen on the phone does not come on. I'm guessing that the light fr the screen went out. So, here's the problem.
