http://askubuntu.com – Alright, I've installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my PC which used to have win 7 on my SSD. However SSD(ocz) was defective so I took it out and it's in the process of being replaced. So I decided to install Ubuntu on my 2 TB(ata? drive) which was named Trinity via my previous windows installation. I have about 370 GB worth of valuable data on it so I have no desire to format the entire drive. So upon installing Ubuntu. I changed the 2 TB ntfs drive to a 1.4 TB ntfs drive (didn't pick a mount option - had 2 choices /windows or /dos) and from the remaining 600 GB space, I made one 100 GB / (ext4) extentio (HowTos)
