Those of you who have ever been interested in reviving their childhood memories by playing some old-school video games have probably heard of emulators. emulators for various game consoles, including the NES, Super NES, and the SEGA Genesis, are available for Android as well.
...and the documentation-shortage is getting an problem.
Preface:
I was always interested in emulation.
So after (successfully) programming emulators for several game consoles (and some other stuff),
i wanted to create one able to play an alltime favorite of mine:
Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros.
So i needed either 2 emulators or 1 snes emulator that can do both.
So after finding out that
After moving to Ubuntu the last few months I have come to the conclusion that Linux is lacking when it comes to Gaming Emulation.
I'm currently running 13.04 (I try to extend the little help I can by submitting bug reports) and the video is extremely choppy and pix-elated on any video program I run (vlc, mplayer, totem etc.), any flash or html5 videos, and HD videos won't play in a reasonable way at all (entire frames get skipped and video footage is completely distorted; I would say it's about 10 FPS on HD videos, really ex
Hi, I was testing out the slow motion video recording feature on my HOX. I stopped recording and it proceeded to save the video. When it was finished saving, it shows an exclamation point on the bottom right hand corner of the play button. When I try to click on the play button, it says, "Sorry, this video cannot be played." I've tried this 5 times now, and I get the same results.
Just incase anyone was wondering it has a great slow motion video feature allowing you to film in 1/2 1/4 or 1/8 speed (I believe its actually recording in high speed and playing back in slow speed) but its smooth and decent quality and great fun to play with. It also has a fast motion setting.
Hi all,
This is my first post to these forums.
I just finished installing Ubuntu 12.4 on my PC. However, after the installation, it has been running surprisingly slow. When, I say slow I mean, the launch of applications takes around 2-3 minutes. On top of that, the computer is freezing-up every 5-7 minutes with application UX turning gray.
Here are the specs of my PC.
I have used VLC without problem for years on Ubuntu 10.04 Gnome, but I recently did a fresh install on the same computer of Xubuntu 12.04. Now I get choppy video in VLC, although audio is fine. The same videos play perfectly in Totem, but I prefer VLC. I also get slow response in VLC to clicking on menu items - like VLC is sucking up all the RAM/CPU power.
