Hello everyone,
Hi Guys,
I am facing an error while installing FC12 on Vmware workstation where machine just hangs up on
probing EDD (edd=off to disable) .
I tried googling and found some useful on EDD {Enhanced Disk Drive)and even tried my luck with passing different parameters to kernel like edd=off, noprobe but sill problem persists.
I have Samba shares on a Red Hat server vmware virtual machine. We just upgraded our vmware tools and vmware hardware to vsphere and now I can't authenticate to the samba shares. It prompts for credentials, but it won't take the login. Has anyone seen this or have any idea how to fix this?
Thanks,
I got to the part where I'm supposed to partition Mint. I've got a 500GB hard drive, and I thought I'd give 300GB to LM--but I'm unclear about using ext2, 3 or 4. What about the swap file? Is that automatic?
Thanks,
Hello Forum,
I've become reliant on Net Objects Fusion for building and maintaining my web site. NOF is still only offered as a windows app and it is the only reason I have to keep Windows installed.
Can anyone propose a comparable application (preferably open source) that will run in Linux?
Thanks for ideas
Hello people,
I am doing some work and I need to do host discovery,
e.g. number of cpus, disks, cpu types, blah, blah
I know sysctl, fdisk, mount etc
Any other techniques/tools?

distro independent.
With a lot of Virtualization technologies I m bit confused which one to opt for .
Following are the few choices in front of me.
