CentOS does not supply a copy of pptpd and the version you have found there is for Fedora Core 6 - roughly equivalent to CentOS 5 so rather out of date. It won't install the copy you have now ... [by TrevorH]

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 64bit. I have installed pptpd and configured it and all works great BUT when I restart the server pptpd will not start up at boot making me manually start it. I've used chkconfig to check and set pptpd on (runlevels 3-5) and still no dice. Don't know if this is some kind of bug or if I'm missing something??
