http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi guys, I have the following issue. I want to update from Fedora 12 to Fedora 17. My Fedora 12 was customized and the installation contains kickstart scripts which are invoked from my isolinux.cfg. Scripts work fine with Fedora 12. HERE IS THE ERROR MESSAGE I GOT AFTER I BOOT THE INSTALLATION ISO and KERNEL BOOTS. SOMEHOW THE INSTALLATION DOES NOT START. THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WAS isolinux.cfg and added those kickstart scripts. ERROR: dracut Warning: Unable to process initqueue dracut Warning: Unable to process initqueue dracut Warning: /dev/root does not exist dracut Warning: (HowTos)

I upgraded my F16 to F17 using the network install CD.

I had some problems during the yum installation phase and had to restart in rescue mode to clean up yum then rerun the upgrade process to get it to complete.

However on first boot I get the dracut warning and I drop out into a dracut# prompt.

I have a problem with booting my fedora 17 from a stick.

I'm using Win 7 with liveusb-creator to write Fedora-17-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso.

I am using fedora 17(64 bit). It was working fine. today I changed some bios setting. I disabled AMD K8 Cool 'n' Quiet. After that when I booted it, it showed an error after boot saying " Firmware Bug: powernow-k8: No compatible ACPI _PSS objects found Firmware Bug: powernow-k8: Try with latest bios." " and droped me to dracut shell.

After that I revert back the bios setting.

Hello, I installed fedora 17 KDE in virtual box.

Now i am trying to install nVidia Drivers in fedora 17. I followed these steps: #lspci |grep -i VGA #yum install akmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs

installation successfully completed..

To remove / disable nouveau drivers from kernel initramfs: #mv /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r)-nouveau.img

#dracut /b

Dracut warning after boot! 39 weeks 7 hours ago

I booted up this morning (fedora 16 updated yesterday) and when I boot up I get:

dracut warning: unable to process initqueue dracut warning: /dev/lv_root doesn't exist dracut warning: /dev/lv_swap doesn't exist

The new partitions (after we got rid of lvm set-up) are: /dev/sda1 is my boot partition /dev/sda2 is the swap /dev/sda3 is the root /dev/sda4 is my home

hi guys it been a long time sience i posted in the installation page i currently have fedora 16 running on my acer extensa 5635 with lux encrypted filesystem and im haveing an impossible time tryng to get it to upgrade attached will be a picture i took of the error but esentially whenever i tyr to boot i get an error "dracut warning" then i get droped to a debuging shell

I've begun having a problem booting F17. I get "dracut warning: unable to process initqueue" and then "dracut warning: /dev/disk-by-uuid .... does not exist". I'm then dropped into a dracut debug shell.

The PC has a single HDD, no RAID or LVM. The HDD has multiple partitions. The PC is dual-boot: F17 and Ubuntu 12.04.
