Hello.
After reading through this forum, I still have 2 questions about updating package.
1st question :
I have install fail2ban with the command :
I attempted to download openSUSE 12.1 through wget.
It stopped after 64% showing:
05:54:48 (120.30 KB/s) - `openSUSE-12.1-DVD-i586.iso' saved 4429185024/4429185024]
It appears that the download is complete but then why does it show 64% only?
anisha@linux-2gbt:~> wget -c http://ftp.uni-bremen.de/pub/mirrors/opensuse/distribution/openSUSE-stab...

When I try to update system (the automatic updates): this message is displayed:

I am following a "Perfect Server" Debian how to over at howtoforge to see if it is indeed perfect and to see how it differs from what I would set up.
Hi
I have some questions regarding OpenSuse and Suse Linux Enterprise Server available from Novell.
(1) What is the difference between OpenSuse and Suse Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) ? I see there is a link to download SLES in the Novell site. Will we have to buy SLES after 60 days for us to continue to use that OS ?
About six days ago, I downloaded and installed kernel-default2.6.35.1.1.i586.rpm on one of my Opensuse 11.2 boxes and it appears theses kernels are baked and tested daily?
OpenSuse 11.2 comes with php5 in version 5.3. unfortunately php version 5.3 is not compatible with Drupal in its current version which is 6.14.
Since I had a couple of web projects that did require Drupal I thought about patching Drupal to work with php 5.3 (didn't work...) and then as a last resort to downgrade php5 to version 5.2.
This is how to do it:
I am not too comfortable with command mode operations, hence i need a file checker which is GUI based.
My current system configuration is openSUSE 11.2,GNOME desktop
Sample need for my GUI based File checker would be as follows:-
I'm running Suse 11.2 with KDE 4.3.5
When I put an Audio CD into my drive the device notifier recognises and gives me the options to either play in Kaffeine or KSCD.
Kaffeine gives this error:
Cannot find input plugin for MRL [cdda:/]
and KSCD does nothing.
I have tried in VLC player and get this:
Your input can't be opened:
