Hi, I just got a Samsung xe500t1c laptop and am trying to install Kubuntu on it. This laptop is UEFI-only (no BIOS compatibility that I can find), and it also has a 32-bit processor.

I've had a nightmare of a time installing Arch with UEFI (Z77e-itx). At first I couldn't get Arch to boot after a few installs, then I managed to get a working system but my windows hard drive somehow managed to lose its boot-loader.

For the official answer, you should read the intel docs. The ArchWiki also has a nice overview here.I'm currently booting Arch on my MacBook (5,1) using the kernel UEFI stub loader, and rEFInd as my boot manager. So far, I haven't had any troubles with EFI.
