http://forums.fedoraforum.org – hi! i have printer(HP LaserJet P1102) when i connect printer to laptop with usb, fedora detect printer. but when i want to print a document, take no action. i found out that i install hplip and run this command: Code: yum install hplip hplip-libs hplib-gui and problem solved. but when i want print with (number of copies > 1) dont work and print only one copy of document. this is a bug? ----- i use fedora 17 ---------- Post added 18th December 2012 at 05:12 AM ---------- Previous post was 17th December 2012 at 08:14 PM ---------- only i have this problem? I am trying to setup up an HP Officejet G85xi printer through an Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive, so that the printer can be shared over the network without requiring that an attached computer be turned on to print. There is a place on the back of the Network Hard Drive to plug in the printer with USB.

Hi all. I'd appreciate any help making my printer work. When I print a test page or a text file, nothing is printed. The job appears in the print status list and the stays there forever.

i got this problem with my printer, but it seems really a problem a lot of people are having.

i have ubuntu 10.04, and run on an parrallel port a hp 6l. the printer was found but could not print, the printing documents were pending and then disseappered.

Now i have connected a hp laserjet 8100 DN on the parrallel port.

Hello all

I'm having trouble getting my networked printer to print and am hoping someone can lend some advice. I'm running openSUSe 11.3 on a laptop and the printer is connected to my desktop which is running Windows XP. I have the printer and several folders and drives shared. I can see the folders and drivers on my laptop but I cannot get the printer to actually print.

Hi all I installed a LPT1 printer a hp office jet T65 to add this printer was requested hplip I install the software that should de printer driver, when I print a file the file remain only in processing it wont go forwarder then that. I hope I was explicitly enough.

hey guys i ran into a small problem i downloaded the proper print and scan drivers for my printer and installed them using terminal i can now scan documents by typing scangearmp into the terminal and i can print too.

the problem is that when i print a document my printer will keep the printing the same document over and over again it seems like there is a never ending print job going on any ideas

I am using HP LaserJet P1005, as maybe someone of you know, this printer doesn't work with the default drivers, so i downloaded and installed hplip, and everything worked fine for a day and then it stopped working. I wasn't able to discover what the problem is so i decided to remove the hplip package and install it once again.

evince not print pdf document 3 years 44 weeks ago

i have gotten a pdf document on a CD which i need to print out. a program called evince is the default document viewer that came with my installation of fedora. it displays the document on the monitor just fine, all 152 pages of it.
