It answer me: Ngocdn-PC:/home/Ngocdn # rcalsasound restart Shutting down sound driver done Starting sound driver: hda-intel done But, the other windows appear and show me this error Pls help me. @ Oldcpu: I 've take by your guide (Problem with HDA Intel STAC92xx Analog - openSUSE Forums) but it don't work. Now, my SOUND does not work! I get the bongo sounds when the login screen comes up, and it works fine in Windows Vista, but not in 12.04. ](*,)

When I type:alsamixer It shows nothing is muted. It's set to 100% (high).

I have just reinstalled Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits in my laptop. a Dell XPS M1330.

With previous versions it used to ask me to install additional drivers (A Realtek card, i don't remember very well). But this time it seems not to need it any more.

Any way sound works ok thru laptop's speakers but i don't get it working in my TV via HDMI as it used to work.

A while ago I installed ubuntu linux on my laptop. On windows vista home premium everything works perfect ( I mean the hardware) but on the linux i don't hear any sound. It says that it uses a HDA Intel - stac92xx device.

I just got a new laptop, HP dm4, and I'm having problems getting the audio to work properly on it. aplay -l lists:

Okay so I know that there are hundreds of these similar posts concerning no sound and let me assure you...I've gone through most of them and at least 15 different methods of trying to obtain ANY sound.

I currently have Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty dual installed with Vista on my Hp Pavilion Dv6 laptop. everything works great except for the no sound issue. This 'no sound issue' includes:

F11 - HDA Intel no sound 3 years 32 weeks ago

I installed Fedora 11 on my imac 7,1 twice and the sound seems to be detected wrong/does not give any sound out of the speakers and very, very low sound out of the earphones

I tried to switch everything to the max in the 'Advanced Volume Control' and in alsamixer
