logitech quickcam messenger not detected by fedora 10 x64.
i've checked the rpmfusion & livna repo's in hopes of finding kmod-gspca, but there is none.
is there any way to get logitech quickcam messenger to work in fedora 10 or 11? or is this webcam unsupported?
Hi, I cannot find an updated driver for a webcam Logitech Quickcam E 2500 webcam. It doesn't work with Cheese nor does it work with Skype. I'm using Lubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have tried the packages qc-usb-utils (utility programs for the QuickCam Express driver) & qc-usb-source (source for the QuickCam Express driver) without a result.
I have an IPEVO POV webcam, which unfortunately would appear to be one of the most obscure models around when it comes to Linux, since web searches never throw up any associations between the two. It has a built-in mic and that is recognised fine under openSUSE 11.2, but the video never shows up in Skype or Kopete.
Hi,
I searched on google and confirmed that ubuntu version 7.x worked with my webcam using the gspca. The hardware ID is 0x092E.
However, my current ubuntu version of 9.1 doesn't work. Both Cheese, and a webcam test website doesn't detect my webcam at all. The webcam LED just stays on all the time.
I'm not too sure where to go from here.
I have been trying to get my webcam to work. The built in microphone works fine but no video. I have trawled various forums and Google and tried just about everything suggested.
I am running 2.6.31.12-174.2.22.fc12.x86_64
since a few months I've got this problem:Today I just wanted to skype a lil' bit with my friend in Zürich. Suddenly my keyboard stopped working. I managed to get it working again just by plug it in again. The problem appears only when I start my webcam. For example over skype.
I have a problem getting my webcam to work. It works neither no cheese nor with skype. This is on linux-mint 14 Nadia, almost-fresh install.
lsusb shows this:
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:081d Logitech, Inc. HD Webcam C510
I run gstreamer-properties, and try to to test the video
Error starting streaming on device '/dev/video0'.
there are already some posts out there, but it seems to be a systemic problem. i though my internal webcam (gateway usb 2.0 webcam on /dev/video0) was the problem, but now i read that logitechs have got simmilar issues.
dmesg:
I am fairly new to this and I cannot get a watchport V2 webcam in working slackware 13, if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful, as I cannot seem to find any other info anywhere.
It seems to be recognised;
dmesg
