Let's say I have a fixed line phone, say 2xxxxxxx1. I have set this phone to forward all calls to my Moto G, say 9xxxxxxxx2. Now whenever I receive a call that was forwarded, I see two numbers in the caller Id. Say the original caller was 9xxxxxxxx3, then I see the caller id as 9xxxxxxxx32xxxxxxx1, i.e.
I use GO Dialer and GO Contacts EX.
Call receiving screen looks like stock.
I had a call from friend, he wasn't saved in contacts yet. When he was calling and i went to pick the call i think i pressed something because question popup saying something like "Do you want to block something?
I love the blocking mode on my S4 Active. I previously had three contacts in my "Allowed Contacts List". Last week I added a few more and, ever since, those on my "Allowed Contacts List" are blocked as well. I tried removing the new contacts that I had added in case there was a limit. However, it still blocks my allowed contacts.
How to: request Cellular carrier to utilize the Calling Name portion of the Caller ID info?
Example: a landline phone with Caller ID displays an incoming Florida based cell phone call as "Cell phone FL 333-222-2345". The cell phone caller should instead have the option of having "Actual Name FL 333-222-2345" display on a land line caller ID display.
i googled more than a hundred times regarding the replacement of stock dialer, contacts, called id screen - incoming call screen but couldn't find any solution. I read it on many threads that push the desired phone.apk into "/system/app", write permissions and reboot but i always end up getting force closes and null network.
