Hey i was charging my S3 with the stock official charger that came with the phone, i had put it on charge and the battery % was 26% i got up about 8 hours later and the battery had dropped from 26 to 14% while it was plugged into the charger and not being used. I am currently running Omega JB rom. I can not seem to figure out the issue any help would be appreciated.
There seems to be a bug, where if i leave the phone connected overnight on the stock charger and wifi is off when i wake up the battery is at 80% or less.
Scenario: Overnight Charging
ROM: Stock
- Battery charges to 100% 4.2V, Charging stops, battery starts draining, to 4.1V then charging starts again to top up the charge. this happens repeatedly overnight. I believe this is ideal.
ROM: Custom ICS or JB
- Battery charges to 100% 4.2V. Charging stops but battery just continously drain.
We have all heard of battery saving techniques to get our phones to last the entire day, but my question is in regards to charging strategy...
More specifically, is there a 'best practice' for charging your battery?
Is it best to let it get down real low before putting it on the charger? If so, is it best to leave it on the charger until it fully charges?
Hey guys :) I've been having this issue(?) From yesterday. My phone indicates that there are 13% of battery left in my phone but the voltage is still 3000 and above :o when its at 100%, the voltage is 4000+. Any idea?
In recent days, I have noticed that when I plug in my charger, (in the house, in the car) my battery is not taking a charge. The only way it will charge is if I restart the phone. Upon rebooting, it charges.
This is not happening every single time (less than 50%), but it doesn't make sense.

Hello Friends... I saw many people having this problem with their phones... The problem was battery charging stuck when it reaches x% (x might be 85 or 87 or 90 whatever mine is 87%). I tried bump charging, tried to calibrate battery several times, etc etc but nothing works... So i decided to take help of HTC Care and i get back to stock and i take my phone to htc...
So I'm having the issue where the battery isn't charging. Left it to charge for a couple of hours. Came back, still no charge.

I bought my GSM galaxy nexus about 2 months back. I unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed stock JB, with franco.kernel. It worked fine for maybe a month. Then, charging the battery started maxing out at lower than 100%. Now, it does not ever charge beyond 82-83%. (in battery settings, it shows "82% - Not Charging" even with the stock chrger plugged in.
