I tried installing Ubuntu 64bit on my new laptop which now has Windows 7 64bit (preinstalled). I want to install Ubuntu and keep Windows 7.
I burned .iso on a CD, I put it in CD drive and rebooted. I saw a keyboard logo and then there was a black empty screen. I take the CD out of the CD drive and turned off using the power button.
I then boot to Windows and ran wubi.exe that was on the disc.
I just tried to install ubuntu using wubi (12.04.01). I restarted and I got that "no wubildr" stuff and then black screen and nothing happens. Please help!!!

Hi. I've been trying to install Ubuntu via Wubi on my new Asus K55V laptop. The installation appears to complete fine without errors, but when I then reboot I get this boot screen error:
The arcane language here is Danish. The "status" code is "0xc0000098".
I have installed wubi before, and in my previous laptop i had no problem installing it. NOw I switched to a new laptop(cause the prev one got broken), I cant seem to make it work.
I run wubi.exe and then it started installing, after that it asks for reboot right? to be able to successfully install wubi.
I tried to install ubuntu 12.04.01 on my hp pavilion g7 1303 and when the installation was finished, I rebooted the computer and first I got no wubildr. Then loading screen appeared (ubuntu and a few dots under it). And then there's a sound and black screen. (The sound is the same than the login sound or whatever)
Last week I purchased an ASUS laptop, with Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I downloaded Ubuntu via wubi (from ubuntu.org).
When I turn on the laptop, I get the dual-boot options.
I ran Wubi successfully and it set up Kubuntu. It then prompted me to reboot. I manually rebooted later after giving some more space to my C partition.
So I reboot, go straight to the install. It said press escape for more options, so being the curious one I am, I pressed escape.
A few seconds later, the grayish boot screen for Ubuntu appeared. Strangely though, it only used 25% of my display.
